What You'll Do
- Perform venipuncture and fingerstick procedures; process donors
- Conduct donor interviews and monitor vital signs and adverse reactions
- Conduct CLIA-waived tests; support apheresis and blood processing
- Support mobile blood drives
- Maintain inventory, documentation, and regulatory compliance; train staff
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a donor phlebotomy program accredited by The Joint Commission or CAP
- Registration as a phlebotomist with ASCP or AMT
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum 12 months of phlebotomy experience post-graduation within the past 36 months
Required immunizations (current or obtainable before start): Hepatitis B (series & titer), Tdap, MMR, Varicella, TB test, seasonal influenza, and COVID-19 (if applicable).
