Working in USGP food service
What duties will I have as a food service worker?
You'll work in either the cafeteria or grab-n-go section of a hospital, serving military members and their family members, hospital staff, and civilians. The role excludes cooking but includes food preparation, stocking, and cleaning the areas. You may also operate a cash register.
What shifts are available?
Both part-time and full-time positions are offered. Available shifts include 5:30 AM – 2 PM, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 11:30 AM – 8 PM, and 3:30 PM – 12 AM (midnight). Full-time roles are 32–40 hours weekly; part-time positions are 24 hours or less per week.
As a food service worker, am I eligible for benefits?
Benefits are covered through Blue Cross Blue Shield and begin 90 days after you start working — plus 80 hours holiday pay, 80 hours paid time off, and 56 hours sick time.
