The People Behind the Placements
Employee spotlights
Every month, facilities tell us about USGP professionals going above and beyond. These are a few of their stories.
Physician Spotlight
Dr. Reis B. Ritz, M.D.
Emergency Medicine Physician • William Beaumont Army Hospital, El Paso, TX
From West Point to the ER
Dr. Ritz earned his undergraduate degree at the United States Military Academy at West Point, his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and completed residency in the Carl Darnall Army Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program. After 12 years on active duty he transitioned to El Paso and joined USGP as a contractor. He chose emergency medicine for its fast pace and variety of patients — and after roughly 27 emergency rooms across his career, he says USGP has been “one of if not the easiest and most pleasant groups to work with.”
In his words
What he finds most rewarding: teaching residents and mentoring younger physicians and nurses.
